ChinaMoves

ChinaMoves is run by Lilian Kranenburg (l) and Gwendolyn Tates (r) who have a joint experience of more than 50 years in doing business with China. They enjoy putting creative thought into solving problems for clients by adapting their existing sources into new, original and commercially interesting marketing tools. ChinaMoves likes to explore off the beaten track options that provide both sound conceptual and financial value for her clients.  A recent example of such a project concerned the linking up of city councils and provincial governments with a tulip bulb enterprise.

ChinaMoves supports businesses and government entities with formulating and executing their China strategy particularly in the field of marketing and communication.  ChinaMoves also caters to those in need of additional training in intercultural ethics, protocol and business practices, not only valuable to businesses, but also to teachers and students in higher learning.

ChinaMoves offers its services to Chinese companies as well. This ranges from bridging the cultural gap of doing business in the Netherlands to entrance strategy support, with a clear emphasis on marketing and communication.

ChinaMoves can operate in many sectors of trade and industry and offers the following services:
•    Sounding board and ‘brainstorm buddy’ for tackling new and creative ways of presenting and marketing your message in China;
•    Practical support in communicating to both Chinese and Western audiences - think of speeches, newsletters, press releases, invitations, brochure materials and presentations; ChinaMoves also coordinates translations and can organise the presence of interpreters;
•    Chinese market information to substantiate and enrich your presentations to the Board, other in-house purposes and Chinese potential partners;
•    In-house training programmes for negotiators, country managers and traders who require behind the scene back-up support on what to expect and how to deal with Chinese business culture.
•    Information about broader socio-economic movements and trends in China;
•    Access to China network and practical knowledge of Beijing and Shanghai.

Damen Shipyards Group

Henk van Herwijnen

DAMEN (1927) has 34 shipyards and related companies involved in new construction, maintenance and repair activities.

In 1969 the concept of construction of tugs, workboats and other commercial craft to standard designs, based on modular building principles, was introduced. The advantages: competitive prices, short delivery times and proven technology and performance.

Damen’s building activities include a range of products: tugs, workboats, patrol craft, cargo vessels, dredgers, mega yachts and fast ferries.

Product design and engineering are done in-house. A broad range of standard designs is available. Damen’s product development policy is primarily driven by customer feedback and (field) experience. More than 4,500 units were delivered.

Competitive pricing and a reputation for post-delivery customer support is an equally important feature of DAMEN.

Besides shipbuilding, maritime support services are offered such as the supply of Complete Knocked Down shipbuilding kits, Spare Parts Supply Service, after sales support and training programs for crews.

Our international Sales and Marketing organization maintains close contact with customers worldwide.
